How much water should I drink a day?
How much water should you drink a day to feel healthy and great? I talk about it here and how to build that water habit so that you don’t have to go through trial and error like me.
Is 8 cups a water a day enough? Should I drink a gallon of water? How much water should I drink?
You are going to hate this answer… But it really depends.
I don’t know your weight, height, activity level, the environment you live in, the types of food you eat
And I even tried those water calculators online and I noticed they were not accurate.
But here’s how you find it.
Start with 2000 ml
That’s 4 bottles a day.
And if you aren’t used to drinking that much then you are going to have to get used to it keep peeing 15 minutes
Drink water over the day
I’d say keep it up for a week.
Then the weirdest parts is that if you actually do this and your body gets used to it chances are your going to feel thirsty.
Then you up it up I’d say 500 ml which is another water bottle.
And listen to your body. If you keep peeing every 5-10 minutes and fel bloated all the time then you probably need to down your water uptake.
But if you continue to still feel thirsty then you keep upping the water.
I can tell you my sweet spot and that’s around 2000-2500 ml running for 30 minutes a day at around 65 degrees for a 6 foot 155 lb man who eats somewhat pretty healthy.
Okay, let’s say how do we make it as a habit.
Well as humans we are visual creatures so what I decided to do was make it super easy to drink water.
So what I do is I fill this blender all the way to the top and drink water in this cup. And the night before I wash it and fill it up with water so that when I feel lazy in the morning. I can just get it out of the fridge and start drinking water right away.
You don’t need a ninja blender since thats what I found but you can just use a big container and measure it with a measuring cup or something along those lines or a gallon of plastic water and just wash it occasionally.
