How To Get Into Deep Work As A Writer
This video is meant for people who understand what deep work already is but for some reason they just end up procrastinating EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. (Been there still doing it sometimes…)
It’s a great idea to set time to focus on what’s important but unless you are already a self-disciplined person chances are…
You’re not going to do it.
So how do we fix that?
Put up that white google doc sheet and tell yourself you can either do nothing or write Optimize your environment to have no distractions at all Create space on your calendar for deep work and commit to it Tell yourself that you will work for 10 minutes If step #2 fails bump it down to 2 minutes
You want to create an identity that you are a writer who writes consistently.
Once you establish that baseline, you can further establish that you are a writer who writes consistently for multiple hours a day.
It’s going to feel like a chore in the beginning just like any other habit.
That’s why you need to work on it slowly.
